Varano de’ Melegari , 17 July 2022 - A prize meant to acknowledge the team that did the best job in developing a battery system in terms of Concept degree of innovation, Battery pack performance and BMS design.
Podium Advanced Technologies is a sponsor of Formula SAE Italy 2022, a student design competition which involves the departments of engineering of the universities worldwide. In this competition, real racing cars designed, built and driven by the students’ teams, race against each other in different series, including internal combustion engine and electric vehicles.
The event is organized by SAE International and Podium Advanced Technologies CEO Francesco Monti has been one of the judges of the competition.
The event, arranged from July 13 to 17 by ANFIA (Italian Association of the Automotive Industry) at the Riccardo Paletti track in Varano de’ Melegari (Parma), has seen the participation of nearly 1,700 students from 18 different countries in the world, divided into 64 teams.
Podium Advanced Technology introduced here the “Best Battery Award”, a prize meant to acknowledge the team that did the best job in developing a battery system in terms of Concept degree of innovation, Battery pack performance and BMS design.
This year the “Podium Advanced Technologies Best Battery Award 2022” was won by the Tallin University of Applied Science team, racing car number 124.
The prize, a EUR 1.500 cheque, was presented to the winning team by Francesco Monti at the closing ceremony on Sunday.
The Tallin team was selected because of the battery system design improvements aimed to minimizing the weight of the pack and increasing the overall efficiency and safety of the car accumulator. The high quality standards of the battery assembly were also taken into consideration.
Podium Advanced Technologies is currently managing several internship programs with some of the most prestigious academic institutions in Italy as Politecnico di Torino and Politecnico di Milano, offering students and graduates unique opportunities to apply what they have learned during their studies in a real workplace environment.
Partnership with universities and internships programs represent also a unique chance to meet and select the best young talents.
