Podium Advanced Technologies Inaugurates the New PODIUM CAMPUS FOR INNOVATION IN MANUFACTURING AND ENGINEERING in Pont-Saint-Martin

Pont-Saint-Martin, November 11, 2024 – Podium Advanced Technologies marks a significant milestone in its entrepreneurial, human, and technological growth journey. To meet increasingly ambitious challenges, the company has developed the PODIUM CAMPUS FOR INNOVATION IN MANUFACTURING AND ENGINEERING, its new headquarters in Pont-Saint-Martin (AO).

On Friday, November 8, the new CAMPUS welcomed hundreds of guests during its official inauguration ceremony. Nearly 500 attendees, including clients, suppliers, local authorities, and employees' families, explored the company’s production areas through guided tours of the laboratories dedicated to Research and Development in battery systems, as well as the assembly units for high-performance batteries and both road and racing vehicles.

The evening continued with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony and a panel discussion titled *“Electric Future: A Global Challenge, A Horizon of Opportunities”. Moderated by esteemed industry journalist Carlo Di Giusto, the panel featured notable speakers such as Roberto Cané, E-Mobility Director at Ducati Motor Holding, and Formula E World Champion Lucas Di Grassi. Francesco Monti, CEO of Podium Advanced Technologies, and Luca Ciancetti, Head of Road Cars and Motorsport Business Lines, also contributed to the discussion.

The establishment of Podium Advanced Technologies at the new CAMPUS is part of the broader Tech-Bat Project, launched in 2022 to advance research and development in lithium battery systems. This initiative, partially funded by the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta's Department of Economic Activities, enabled the creation of a state-of-the-art laboratory for high-performance battery systems. The facility spans multiple technological areas, covering the entire battery development and production process, from cell selection to battery pack assembly.

“Tech-Bat stems from the need to offer a more comprehensive and advanced service,” stated CEO Francesco Monti. “As we expanded our portfolio, it became clear that developing specialized expertise in the design and production of complex systems like high-performance batteries was essential.”

The new CAMPUS spans a total area of 16,000 square meters, featuring a modern office complex and three expansive research and assembly zones for batteries and vehicles. Each space has been meticulously designed to meet the high-tech requirements of Podium Advanced Technologies.

“The project stands out for its ability to adapt an existing building to the future needs of an innovative company, creating modular spaces designed to evolve alongside emerging demands” commented renowned architect Cristiana Catino of ACC Naturale Architettura, who led the architectural design together with Andrea Alessio from the PlaC studio. “Here, architecture becomes a tool to foster collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and the communication of values.”

Collaboration with the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta has been instrumental in financing this ambitious project and in strengthening Podium Advanced Technologies' ties with the local community and resources.

“We aim to support companies like Podium Advanced Technologies that champion innovation and research while prioritizing quality,” said Luigi Bertschy, Vice President of Valle d’Aosta and Regional Minister for Economic Development, Training, and Sustainable Mobility. “Podium Advanced Technologies also excels in fostering education and talent attraction, an essential element for a region like ours.”

This inauguration signifies not only a new chapter for Podium Advanced Technologies but also reinforces its commitment to driving innovation and excellence in the fields of research, engineering and manufacturing.
